Rhoda Campos-Aldanese: New COO of MEGA Global Licensing Inc.
Rhoda Campos-Aldanese is ready to push MGLI to new heights, by taking global brands like VOGUE Philippines and NYLON Manila under her wing.
A trailblazer and a strong woman in her own right, Rhoda Campos-Aldanese takes on the momentous and prestigious job of being the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MEGA Global Licensing Inc. (MGLI).
As the media and publishing company that houses some of the biggest and boldest global media brands, MGLI will really need someone capable and experienced—someone, who can take charge. And Chairman and CEO of MGLI, Archie Carrasco believes that with Campos-Aldanese’s 20 years of experience working with international brands, she fits the bill perfectly.
“I have no doubt she is the right chief that will expand MGLI’s business portfolio to reignite the Philippine media,” Carrasco shares.
Backed with Years of Experience
Defined by her 20-year career in the luxury industry, Campos-Aldanese is known for trailblazing the growth, expansion, and elevation of some of the biggest brands in the market. In fact, her vast retail experience is more than enough proof of her undeniable skill as a strong player in the industry.
Campos-Aldanese started her journey by managing menswear brands and developing private fashion and activewear labels for teens. Soon after, she set her sights on beauty, jewelry, and fashion brands. Her big break, however, came when she began working with powerhouse brands around the world: Chanel, Dior, Clarins, Estée Lauder, La Prairie, Lancôme, Montblanc, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, Lanvin, and Christian Louboutin, to name a few.
Her secret? A continuous pursuit for discovery, followed by the swift acquisition of brands, as well as constantly watching out for the next big thing and using her talent for negotiation. Bringing together a myriad of prestige names under her portfolio, Campos-Aldanese reigns the market through her resilience, curiosity, and her love for acquiring and building brands with a compelling backstory—a provenance that makes them unique and special.
Staying true to her mission, Campos-Aldanese also makes sure to create a space for local industries to be seen by the world. Armed with a higher purpose, she uplifts up-and-coming local talents and entrepreneurs, too! In fact, she was the co-founder of a cosmetics company that changed the beauty landscape by launching ads that communicate diversity.
Moreover, she co-founded an e-commerce platform in 2019 for beauty and wellness products—sourced from local materials—in an effort to support Philippine agriculture.

As the new COO of MGLI, Campos-Aldanese is ready to take the media landscape to the next level. This includes overseeing a careful assessment of international media titles in order to ensure their value in the market. The goal, after all, is for each title under MGLI to have a transformative impact on its readers and business players by elevating the industry and highlighting important issues.
“There is a need for a radical approach towards excellence in editorial to make sure they are tuned into the sensibilities and needs to provide the right and relevant information to their readers,” Campos-Aldanese states.
Likewise, Campos-Aldanese believes that circulation is key. In a business where your pages are the most valuable and desirable marketing tool, she is looking at long-term circulation-driven strategies to ensure a steady and growing readership base. “Each publication should set a tone of professionalism throughout its pages,” she adds.
VOGUE, for example, stands out from other publications, thanks to its editorial quality and industry distinction. In its local edition—VOGUE Philippines—MGLI plans on revamping the landscape by allowing the magazine to work in unison with the industry.
Long gone are the days when wealth, fame, and power defined the industry. With VOGUE Philippines, readers will be put first by creating affluence in the market with the right value system—a more positive outlook and a kinder attitude. “The currency now includes that of love, compassion, and helping the less fortunate,” Campos-Aldanese shares.
A Message to the Youth
With the youth taking charge and creating an image of themselves, young leaders have become more and more prevalent in today’s society. Thus, it is important to stay connected and empower the next generation. “It’s all been anchored on your passion and your ‘why’. If you have both, you will stay committed,” she advises.
“You will find that physical strength and stamina to bring together the necessary resources so your dream grows into what it needs to become.”
For her, each person has a unique purpose and meaning that has been with them from the very beginning. By harnessing one’s inner skills, talents, and resources, people can unleash their strength and resilience to overcome whatever challenges they face.
The result? “We will develop the necessary skills that will help us carry out our unique purpose,” the COO states.
