Gianne Karlo Deano felt like there was a lack of quality hostels in Bohol. Ever the go-getter, she put it upon herself to set the standard. “There were few hostels that could live up to Bohol’s island vibe and natural beauty,” she explains.
This resulted in the conception of Red Picnic Hostel, which opened its doors last January 2022 in Panglao, Boh

The resort’s tall white structures greet you like a breath of fresh air—just as Gianne intended. “We are certain that guests will feel that this is not your ordinary hostel,” she shares. “It’s very comparable to local small-scale resorts, but with hostel-type pricing and value for money.”
In addition to contributing to great stays on the island, the resort itself also lends a hand in boosting the local community. “We employ local talents and partner with locals to support their business as well.”
